Дальний Восток (ДВ) – уникальный макрорегион России: в его пределах, а они не были неизменными, в разных его частях происходило формирование разнообразных трансграничных регионов (ТР). Упомянутое разнообразие в свою очередь определяется как геополитическими факторами, так и природным, экономическим и социально-политическим контекстом присущим дальневосточному макрорегиону на различных этапах его эволюции. При этом макрорегион рассматривается нами не просто как площадка, на которой взаимодействуют глобальные игроки, а как участник геополитической игры. Характерная черта дальневосточных ТР – их аква-территориальная природа. Другая характерная черта ТР ДВ – вовлеченность в формирование их геополитического ландшафта не только сопредельных государств.

The Far East (FE) is a unique macroregion of Russia: within its boundaries, which have not been constant, various transboundary regions (TR) have been formed in different parts of it. The said diversity is in turn determined by both geopolitical factors and the natural, economic and socio-political context inherent in the Far Eastern macroregion at various stages of its evolution. At the same time, we consider the macroregion not just as a platform for interaction between global players, but as a participant in a geopolitical game. A characteristic feature of the Far Eastern TR is their aqua-territorial nature. Another characteristic feature of the FE TR is the involvement of not only neighboring states in the formation of their geopolitical landscape.
