The article discusses the management of waste logistics in megacities based on the application of the simulation modeling method to optimize the transport load during the removal of municipal solid waste (MSW) using the example of the Krasnoselsky District of St. Petersburg. The authors analyze existing routes, waste volumes, and removal schedules, and propose solutions for redistributing addresses and replacing bulky waste (BW) containers with standard MSW containers. The results show that the proposed measures can reduce transportation costs to 1 million rubles per month, optimize vehicle fleet use, and im-prove enterprise efficiency.
