Abstract (English):
The subject of the study is the extra-familial intergenerational interaction between student youth and representatives of the older generation (the "third age"). The purpose of the work was a theoretical understanding of intergenerational relations and the practical develop- ment, testing and reflection of various models of such interaction to reduce social tension and bridge the generational gap. Method or methodology of the work: the methodology is based on a theoretical analysis of scientific sources on the problem of generational relations, as well as a description and reflection of three years of empirical experience. The empirical part included the organization of joint activities of 150 pensioners and 40 students of Khabarovsk in partnership with non-profit organizations. The main methods were modeling, observation, surveys and conversations to collect feedback. Results of the work: based on the theoretical analysis, key barriers of intergenerational interaction (value, worldview and digital divide) have been identified. Two effective interaction models have been tested and described: 1) "mutual learning" (bidirectional classes: students teach art, languages, physical education to seniors, and seniors teach students crafts); 2) "co-creation" (joint formats: intergenerational camp, film club, case lab). The positive effect of interaction has been empirically confirmed, expressed in the destruction of mutual stereotypes, the formation of respect and the identification of value harmony between generations. The scope of the results: the research results can be applied in the activities of higher education institutions for the implementation of the module "Learning by service" and the development of professional and soft skills of students. The novelty of the research lies in an integrated approach combining theoretical analysis with practical development and testing of specific models of extra-family intergenerational interaction in the Russian context. A special novelty is the focus on mutual benefit for both sides and the integration of this interaction into the educational process of universities through project activities. The conducted research proves that purposefully organized extra-familial intergenerational interaction is an effective tool for overcoming generational gaps, forming a culture of dialogue and mutual respect. It has significant pedagogical potential for the professional and personal development of students. For such practices to be sustainable, they need to be institutionalized through the development of joint programs between universities and NGOs and the search for resource support.
