The article analyzes and studies the interaction of the private sector and government in the context of the renewal and diversification of the economy of single-industry towns. The dynamics of partnerships between the public and private sectors and their impact on the socio-economic transformation of single-industry towns are highlighted. The analysis proposes strategies for optimizing this cooperation, and also examines the impact of private sector investments on the sustainable development of single-industry urbanized areas. The key problems of public-private partnerships are briefly outlined and innovative solutions are proposed to improve the efficiency and complexity of the approach to the development of single-industry towns.
