The article gives a brief historiography of the topic of the Russian diaspora on the pages of the magazines: "Russia and the Asia-Pacific Region", "Ojkumena. Regional researches" and "Proceedings of the Oriental Institute". The main directions of research on the topic within the framework of these publications are highlighted. Their review and a brief description as a whole are given. Statistics are provided on aspects of the topic and geographical coverage.
