Abstract:
The article examines the life and work of Anatoly Panteleevich Derevyanko, an outstanding Russian scientist in the field of archeology and ancient history, a major specialist in the problems of the Ancient Stone Age of Asia and America, the initial human settlement of the Eurasian subcontinent, chronostratigraphy and correlation of Paleolithic cultures in arid zones of Eurasia, reconstructions of the ancient history of the Amur region and the Far East from the Paleolithic era to the Early Middle Ages. Scientists have discovered and studied hundreds of archaeological sites in Northern, Central and South-East Asia, as well as South-Western and Eastern Europe.
